Founder Feedback Event - Praetura Ventures and FHundED
What to expect?
-Each event will include a short introduction from Praetura on “What VCs Won’t Tell You” and offer insight into the funding process.
We will show which investors are active in the space and where you can find them.
-We will then be split out into smaller groups with an investor, later stage founder and an adviser included in each for the chance to get more direct feedback on your pitches. Each founder will be given a short pitch and the group will discuss and offer feedback.
-We will then reform as one group and discuss key learnings and best practice. We will also be interviewing a later stage founder to get their experience to share their journey to date.
-Finally we will finish up with some drinks and networking with founders, investors and advisers.
-Afterwards, every attendee will be sent a set of exclusive resources produced by Praetura on pitching and the investment landscape.
Why?
Raising money is hard and too often founders aren’t given the right tools or told the right facts. We want to create a safe space where we can give real feedback and help share the best tips so more founders can get the funding they need in the future. No sponsors, no set agendas, just an afternoon of honest advice and support.
If there are any areas you would like covered on the day or questions you want answered, please email ben.davies@praetura.co.uk or laura.hough@praetura.co.uk to ensure we factor these in to the days plans. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you.

Secure Digitalisation
Cyber Works believes that cyber security is more than just a necessary safety feature and a drag on the bottom line; it is a driver for innovation and growth.
This is why we have developed our online Secure digitalisation programme to support businesses.
Secure Digitalisation
You do not have to be technical in nature to learn how to protect your technology and we support small to medium enterprises (SMEs) from all sectors to engage more with cyber security
The Secure Digitalisation programme aims to cover three simple concepts: Defend. Innovate. Grow.
We encourage a secure by design philosophy, and companies that are involved with the secure digitalisation programme learn how to weave cyber security practices into their organisations to help them defend, innovate and grow their business.
We are changing the narrative around Cyber Security by asking “How can we embed these core concepts into your business model and strategy?”

In this workshop, she will share her insights and strategies for effective networking, even for those who might find it daunting or unproductive.
You'll learn about the benefits of networking, how to make meaningful connections, and how to leverage those connections to achieve your personal and professional goals. Tarnia will also share some practical tips for overcoming common networking challenges and making the most of your networking opportunities.
After the workshop, we'll move on to a half-hour social where you can chat with Tarnia and other attendees and continue the conversation over light refreshments. This is a great opportunity to put your newly acquired networking skills into practice, connect with like-minded individuals, and expand your network in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Lancashire Digital Leaders Meetup
Welcome to Lancashire Digital Leaders Meetup.
Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Resort Holme Road Burnley BB12 0RT
Join us for an evening of networking and food. Lancashire Digital Leaders Group is a peer environment for senior leaders in tech to come together around shared challenges.
We discuss common issues around growth, skills, leadership, technology, change and much more.
The first session of 2023 takes place at The Crow Wood Hotel where we'll enjoy food, followed by a presentation from Kerry Harrison, Digital Skills lead for Lancashire Skills and Employment hub. Then we'll move into a 'lean coffee' style networking where the group will discuss some of the key challenges in their businesses.
This group is for senior tech leaders in any type of organisation (CTO's, Heads of IT, Software etc) and non-technical founders in tech focussed businesses, who are looking to learn more about technology and build their network. The group promotes a learning environment.
